The Pursuit of Happyness, Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is a bright and talented but marginally employed salesman.

Struggling to make ends meet, Gardner finds himself and his five-year-old son evicted from their San Francisco apartment with nowhere to go.

When Gardner lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, he and his son endure many hardships, including living in shelters, in pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them.
Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is a family man struggling to make ends meet.

Despite his valiant attempts to help keep the family afloat, the mother (Thandie Newton) of his five-year-old son Christopher (Jaden Christopher Syre Smith) is buckling under the constant strain of financial pressure.

No longer able to cope, she reluctantly decides to leave.
Chris, now a single father, continues doggedly to pursue a better-paying job using every sales skill he knows.

He lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, and although there is no salary, he accepts, hopeful he will end the program with a job and a promising future.

Without a financial cushion, Chris and his son are soon evicted from their apartment and forced to sleep in shelters, bus stations, bathrooms, or wherever they can find refuge for the night.
Despite his troubles, Chris continues to honor his commitment as a loving and caring father, using the affection and trust his son has placed in him as an impetus to overcome the obstacles he faces.

After surviving for 36 years, the Mark II nameplate finally gave way to Mark X –
this is the alphabetic letter X which stands for an unknown.
Interestingly, the car is really entering an uncertain time.
Mark II used to be a Japan-bounded sports sedan.
Car enthusiasts liked to tune it with stiff suspensions and boost its turbocharger to deliver big power.
But globalisation is crumpling the unique breed of Japanese cars.
As Toyota is to start selling Lexus in its domestic market, Mark X will find its survival space threatened by Lexus GS and IS.
In fact, the Mark X already overlaps with Lexus GS in many ways.
Both cars and Toyota Crown actually share the same rear-drive platform with 2850 mm wheelbase.
While Crown is styled more conservatively and equipped luxuriously to please older buyers, the Mark X and GS are supposed to attract young and keen drivers.
Worse still, a switch to a normally aspirated V6 seriously limited the tuning potential of Mark X, as did the electronic variable damping suspension.
That leaves the packaging to differ them.
Lexus GS was styled with strong European flavour.
In contrast, Mark X looks slimmer and lighter, with a clearly defined 3-box profile.
Its soft-techno look has strong Japanese character, although you cannot describe it as beautiful. The Japanese techno fashion continues in the cabin.
Its instrument panel is illuminated by cool-looking blue LED, the multi-purpose LCD screen on the center console is decorated with a stylish faux aluminum panel.
This cabin looks more exciting than that of the Lexus GS.
Build quality is close to Lexus level.
Most plastics are high quality, as are the wood and optional leather.
But most Mark X will be sold with the standard cloth seat whose dark color doesn't look as inviting. The cabin is not as comfortable as Lexus and Crown, especially at the back.
The rear seat is too flat to be comfortable, a trade-off for its folding seat back.
It is also mounted too low in the cabin, therefore the middle passenger has his legroom seriously blocked by the large transmission tunnel.
This means Mark X is more a 4-seater than 5-seater.
Open the bonnet, you will discover either a 2.5 or 3.0-litre V6, both completed with aluminum block, 24 valves, dual VVT-i and direct injection.
The 3-litre engine is actually the same one as Lexus GS300, although it is rated at 256 horsepower (vs 245 hp) according to JIS standard.
The Mark X lost the Lexus' extensive sound insulation, so from the cabin you can hear the sporty exhaust roar of the V6.
Because its is 90 kg lighter than the equivalent Lexus, you can feel more lively performance from the same V6.
The Mark X has its suspensions set very stiff, not only by Japanese standard but also in relation to Lexus GS.
With the electronic damping at Normal mode, the Mark X already rides firmly and resists body roll very well, but it fails to filter the shocks from small irregularities on the road, resulting in a fair amount of harshness and noise.
This is a common problem for many air suspensions, but Mark X did not employ sufficient measures to filter the noise and harshness from the cabin.
If you change the damping to Sport mode, you will find even harder ride but no decisive improvement in the already fine body control.
The electric power steering is not very feelsome, but it is quick and precise. The Mark X displays so much less understeer than its predecessor, but it is not tuned for power slide either. Buy a European executive car if you love driving excitement. Or if you insist Japanese car, wait for the forthcoming Lexus IS.
The Mark X shares most components with Lexus GS. However, the lower grade equipment and the availability of 2.5-litre engine allow it to be priced lower in the domestic market. It will be seen as a cheaper and rawer alternative to the Lexus. Nevertheless, in an increasingly open domestic market, its future is still a factor X.

her beloved niece.

and u know tt e very someone loves you when..

-u complained that ur legs are aching. and she massaged it for you and wore ankle guard for you in case the feet got too cold. and she did all these when she had a even longer day than you.

-she turned and asked if you were okay first instead of caring for herself when an insect bit her.

-she fetched you to her place just because it was raining when there was plan for you to go over to her place by urself initially. and u went to her place bcos she said she needed someone to massage her aching back. but in the end, she said she lied just because she wanted you next to her at night.

-she buys you the cd tt u have been eyeing even when she is so bloody broke.

-she pacifies you when you are throwing temper because her mum nags at you to do household chore. and being the spoilt brat you, you did it unwillingly. she whispers into your ears and say "let me do everything for you in the future."

Something i saw at gf's blog, she wrote these:
My perfect life with the loved one.
Since many many eons ago, i had the ideal dream of living with my lifelong partner who will be my best friend as well.
Till this very day, i still dream the same things - the ideal perfect couple lifestyle.
I dunno if it is ever going to be realised, but i still bear hope inside there cos i know somehow dreams do come true.
I dream of:

-a cat for me and a dog for my partner
-a small studio apartment or a small flat as my partner wishes
-breakfast in the bed every morning
(thou it may nt be possible now w my shift work)
-cuddles and kisses before we fall asleep at night
(thou it may nt be possible now w my shift work)
-watching the stars in the balcony
-to cook a meal for each other every now and then
-to drive out for supper at 3am if time permits
-to share a small car
-to paint the walls in 4 different colours
-to do grocery shopping together at NTUC and to cut coupons out to save more $
-to read the newspapers during breakfast
-to have intellectual talks over meals
-to eat sth good during anniversaries
-to travel once a year
-to look after my sick partner by feeding medicine promptly and tucking to bed and making porridge (yes i know my cooking sucks)
-family dinners every sunday with each other's family together
-to celebrate CNY by visiting each other's family
-to place photographs of together-ness
-to have to right to wake each other up for work in the morning
-to get worried when my partner does not come home on time
-to get candid shots of each other and make lifetime memorable memories
-to buy whole set of culinary
-to have aircon and thick comforter
-to go to the zoo every year
-to plant flowers together

Here's some updates for today, yesterday & a lovely sunday well-spent. :)

Sunday -

Baby and i woke up a little late hungry.
Lazy, lazy sunday.
It's a motorbike day!
Weather was freaky hot, i can see baby's face BLACK BLACK. [heh.]
Anyway, we went bugis village cos i wanted more tee shirts and in every single way..
I'm the fussy lover and she's trying to be patient one.
Note : Being smaller in size, i have a odd shape shoulder, slightly broader.
So, in spore i have difficulties looking for the right size clothings i wanted.
Without getting a decent one we went over to the library to return our books as well as to sit/search around for our next loans.
It may sound boring staying around, i know but try doing it once a while and you will get what i meant. :)
Met up bryan and her friends, we chatted a while before leaving for our next desination :

Golden mile - Small Thailand.
You can know from the name of it, it's a place whereby you see lotsa thais pple around.
There's a mall there as well and you can see and buy all sort of things made from Thailand.
Very chaotic.
We ate at one place and the tom yam soup is good!
I forgot abt the pictures, next time bah.

Next was to DAIMARU at rivervalley.
She wants to show me the melon costed 90 bucks -

PICTURES!!

At GoldenMile Part 1

At GoldenMile Part 2

At DAIMARU.

Today's thursday.
Tomorrow's friday, heh.
Know what's that suppose to mean?
This morning, i woke up with gf yong at my place.
Pleasant, beautiful morning. :)
Mum bought a nicey looking t.v stand and plus a short table stand as well.
COST : close to $500.
Went back in the noon to view it.
Then went to my established planted small tank to greet my darlings.
Beautiful sight..
I always enjoyed viewing it after my bath, especially with pple who appreciated it as well.
Example : My good old mother..
- Appreciation to my mother who : don't mind me wasting water when my projects failed upteens times!
- Appreciation to her again that she don't mind me switching on the lights every night for my plants. :)
Mummy, thank you!

Girlfriend had been supportive as well.
- Accompanied me to the shops many times for purchases.
- Our topics will always includes chemistry - Carbon dixoide, ph meter, ETC.
- Although i spend alot of time on tank and fishs, she won't stop my hobby.
Girlfriend, thank you too!
There's another pal i recently know and he's into planted tank as well.
Because he's a guy and a very good swt talker, i rejected a chance for the rare exibit at suntec this year.
